Creative students to hear from Nike boss

David Odusanya studied Communication Design, Design and Visual Communications at the University between 1988 and 1991.

He went into graphic design and after working with an agency joined Reebok as a graphic designer and in 1995 went to work for Nike in America.

Since then he has gone on to rise through the ranks holding a variety of positions including Brand Design Director for Nike Performance and Global Creative Director for Global Football Brand Design and Nike Sportswear brand.

Since 2013 he has held the position of Vice-President and Creative Director for Tennis and Young Athletes.

David is travelling over to the UK from Oregon in the United States on Friday, 24 October 2014.

He will be given a tour of the School of Creative Arts and Design and then talk to current art and design students to share his experiences and conduct a question and answer session.

Lester Meachem, Head of Visual Communications at the University, said: “Staff and students from the Visual Communications Department, School of Creative Arts, Faculty of Arts are delighted to welcome back David Odusanya. 

“A graduate of Visual Communications at the University of Wolverhampton, David has lived and worked in the US for the last 23 years. He is making time from a busy schedule while visiting Europe to give current Visual Communications students the benefit of his extensive experience. “
