Charity challenges for Abigail

17/04/2015

A University of Wolverhampton student is taking part in two charity events as part of her bid to be crowned Miss Black Country.
Abigail Golding
Abigail Golding, who is studying for a Fashion and Textile Degree, has a passion for fundraising.

The 21-year-old, from Tipton, will be attempting a sky dive on Friday (APR17) at Tilstock. And her fundraising endeavours will continue with a charity gig she has organised at Greets Green Sports Bar, in West Bromwich, on May 2 at 7.30pm. It will feature Black Country bands Crazy Horses and Dirty Roxx.

Abigail said: “Each year I help my parents, who are also keen fundraisers, organise charity gigs for good causes, and this time it is part of my brief as a Miss Black Country finalist. The skydive will be a real personal challenge as I have never attempted anything like this before but more importantly I’m not good with heights.”

All proceeds will go to Miss World’s charity ‘Beauty with a Purpose’. The Miss Black Country contest, which will take place at the end of May.

She added: “I want to develop my skills in Fashion Design and hopefully one day have my own brand.”
