Developmental work and research activity

Martin’s research interests have focused particularly around children’s cognitive development and community elements in early years services. This interest has been sustained and stems from previous experience as a primary school teacher and education development officer in both England and Pakistan. Martin is part of the editorial board for the International Journal of Early Years Education and external examiner for the PEEP programme at Oxford Brookes University.

Current development and research projects

Working on PhD research investigating communication between parents, children and practitioners at parent with child play sessions in support of children’s cognitive development.
