Developmental Work and research activity

David’s research interests have focused on the process of continuing professional development within teacher education. This interest stems from his previous experience both in secondary education and as an Advanced Practitioner in the further education (lifelong learning) sector.

Recipient of a University Rewarding Excellence Award (2007-2008), David has also been involved with the expansion of blended learning in the School of Education, particularly in relation to the use of ePortfolios.

Currently, David is exploring autoethnographic approaches to research and the potential such approaches may have for professional learning.
