Developmental work and research activity

Tehmina has been involved in teaching Masters, PhD and EdD students. She has previously worked at the University of Leicester where she coordinated the Research Methods Training for Doctoral students, and was Course Director of the MSc in Educational Research Methods. At Wolverhampton, she is responsible for the PhD Programme. She currently supervises three doctoral students.

Her research interests include the education of minority ethnic groups; race and ethnicity; citizenship and young people; social justice; social inclusion; initial teacher training; the professional development of teachers; and qualitative research methodology. Tehmina leads the academic research cluster on Education for Social Inclusion and Social Justice.
