Education and Specialist Related Areas (ESRA)

Education and Specialist Related Area (ESRA) courses allow students to study in an area of education-related work. The broad field of education provides a range of career possibilities; working with children and families, specialising in special needs and inclusion or studying the way people learn and the systems that are used in modern education establishments.

There are many roles in schools, colleges, training and the community for people with a degree in an education-related area. Other possible careers involve a holistic approach, looking at health and social needs. Find out more about careers in education.

Although these courses do not confer Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), they are suitable degrees to make you eligible for a PGCE Primary.
