Developmental work and research activity

Mike’s background is in secondary mathematics teaching, as a practitioner and manager, and in school improvement as a Local Authority consultant and mathematics adviser. He has always sought professional development through his own practitioner research and this led into part time study for an MPhil, and currently for a PhD.

Mike’s PhD research is in task design with a working title of “How can Secondary School mathematics pedagogy be enhanced through a focus on task design and differentiation?
