Students, staff and visitors are being invited to pull on their running shoes for a Sport Relief mile at the University of Wolverhampton.
The Walsall Campus is set to host the event on Sunday, 21 March 2010 and people are encouraged to sign up to take part.
Fundraisers completing three and six mile runs will set off from Walsall Sports Centre in Gorway Road at 10am, and 11.30am if they are taking part in the one mile challenge.
Rebecca Millar, Athletic Union Sports Officer, said: “The Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile in Walsall is back for the second time. Building on the success of the last event we would love to welcome all to take part. Your support and enthusiasm to make a change is what makes Sport Relief so successful, whether you run one, three or six miles. So come on put March 21 firmly in your calendar and ‘rise to the challenge’.”
Hundreds of thousands of people across the country will rise to the challenge at the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile, whether they do one, three or six miles. Comic Relief will spend the money raised through sponsorship helping poor and vulnerable people both here in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries.
