• IfL Advisory Council elects president
  The Institute for Learning (IfL), the independent professional body for teachers and trainers throughout the further education and skills sector, has announced the election of the University of Wolverhampton's John Chorley as the first ever president of its Advisory Council.
• University of Wolverhampton staff to present papers at British Educational Research Association conference
  Three School of Education staff are presenting papers at the British Educational Research Association annual conference.
• Chalking up top marks in 2010 Ofsted report
  Staff and students are celebrating after receiving a glowing Ofsted report. The School of Education received the outstanding report from the education watchdog following a recent inspection.
• Destinations Survey reveals Initial Teacher Education (ITE) Graduate Employment Statistics
  The recent Destinations Survey asked 229 ITE graduates about their current employment circumstances. The results demonstrate how effective our graduates are in pursuing their career in teaching.
• School of Education Annual Research Conference 2010
  The Annual Research Conference took place in May and saw members of our team presenting their research to their colleagues throughout the day, as well as a keynote address by Professor Jo Allan entitled 'Perceptions of HE Teaching Effectiveness: Students, Lecturers and Pedagogy - Consensus or Conflict?'
• Book Launch: The Oppositional Culture Theory 
  Carol Tomlin has published a book alongside Paul C Mocombe entitled 'The Oppositional Culture Theory', which explores the black/white achievement gap in America and Great Britain.
