15/08/2013

City CampusThe University will host the event at its Wolverhampton and Walsall Campuses on Saturday, August 17, from 10am to 3pm.

Visitors can get advice on courses and campus life and, for those with suitable exam results, an offer for a place on a course could be made there and then.

Lecturers will be available to talk about courses at the Subject Fair and in the Student Support Zone, people can find out about and services on offer while they are studying.

Visitors can take walking tours of the accommodation, listen to talks and take part in workshops on the various courses available and meet careers advisors.

At Wolverhampton City Campus, visitors will find information about applied sciences, art and design, business, computing and IT, engineering, health and nursing, law, social sciences and communications.

There will be details about sport, music, dance, drama, leisure and lifestyle industries, midwifery, nursing, teaching and education at the Walsall Campus.

And it is not too late to start a degree with the University this September. Anyone bringing suitable exam results with them will receive an immediate unconditional offer.

Education Events Manager, Louise O’Neill, said: “The Open Day is a great opportunity for people who may be applying to the University through Clearing to tour the facilities and meet lecturers.

“As well as finding out exactly what the University has to offer, prospective students could be offered a place on a course during their visit.”
