Free talk to give firms funding tips

09/12/2013

The University of Wolverhampton is inviting experts to give a free talk about finding business funding.

With the rapid expansion of online networking, there has never been more opportunities for alternative forms of funding available to businesses.

To help explain how to take advantage of these modern revenue streams, the University is inviting three industry experts to share their views and experience in a free seminar.

It will be held in the Creative Industries Centre, at the University of Wolverhampton Science Park, from 9am to 11am on Wednesday, December 11.

There will be three key talks during the event. Paul Landa, from Zeckro Web Solutions, will provide an insight into crowd funding, where groups of people pool their finances to fund a business venture.

Tim Powell, from Minerva, will discuss venture capital, and how funding business growth with equity finance is not for everyone but when it is the right type of capital then access to long term funding with investor skills and experience can make the difference between failure and fulfilling potential.

Finally, Alison Bradley, from Central Finance, will give an overview of asset finance and the grant schemes that can be used in conjunction with this type of finance together with an overview of other finance alternatives.

There is no charge for this event but spaces are strictly limited so please book early to avoid disappointment on 01902 321272, or register at www.wolverhamptonbsc.com/funding

Networking will be available over a light breakfast.
