The event, taking place at The Copthorne Hotel in Dudley, on Tuesday, October 1, will feature manufacturing sectors like automotive, aerospace, rail and construction, and will feature a host of designers, manufacturers and innovators all looking to exhibit their services.

It is the second time the event has been held, after a successful launch earlier this year.

The exhibition opens at 9am and there will be an itinerary of events throughout the day.

The West Midlands Manufacturing Club was formed in 2000 to facilitate knowledge and technology exchange between academia and industry. It is funded by the University’s Faculty of Science and Engineering.

The club aims to identify opportunities to work with industry in to apply the faculty’s knowledge, research and development to assist local economy.

Alec Gillham, speaking on behalf of the University’s Department of Engineering and Technology, said: “The University is committed to supporting manufacturing in the region and its continued funding and support of the Manufacturing Club is testimony to that commitment.”
