Arena Theatre seeks Youth Advisory Board Members

Love your city? Have a passion for making change? Applications to join the Arena Theatre’s Youth Advisory Board are now open.

If you’re aged from 16 to 25 years old and possess a strong desire to make a difference to the performing arts provision in Wolverhampton for young people, then the Arena Theatre’s Youth Advisory Board is for you!

What will I get from taking part?

  • Have your say in long-term strategic projects at the Arena Theatre.
  • Represent the views and needs of young people in the city and contribute to the community of the theatre and wider Wolverhampton.
  • Help shape the future direction of the Arena Theatre.
  • Understand the inner-workings of the venue and its different departments.
  • Contribute to the business and development of the theatre.
  • Gain valuable assets for both your own skill base and CV.

 

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

No, just a passion for the arts and improving the provision in the city.

Can I afford to take part?

Absolutely. Meetings of the youth advisory board will include complimentary food and drink, and travel expenses will be paid for by the theatre.

I have additional needs. Can I still participate?

As an inclusive venue, the Arena is committed to having space on its projects and boards for individuals with additional needs. Simply get in touch at arena@wlv.ac.uk so we can do our best to support you.

To apply to become a member of the Arena Theatre Youth Advisory Board for 2018, request and application form by e-mailing arena@wlv.ac.uk. Fill in an application form and return it to arena@wlv.ac.uk. Applications are open from 2nd-16th March 2018.
