Tourism research scoops award

Research by a University of Wolverhampton tourism and hospitality management expert has scooped a top international award.

Two papers by Dr Roya Rahimi, Reader in Tourism and Hospitality from the Faculty of Social Sciences, were chosen as Outstanding Papers of the year in the 2018 Emerald Literati Awards.  

The first research was titled “Customer relationship management research in tourism and hospitality: state-of-the-art” and was published in Tourism Review Journal. The second,  “Customer Relationship Management (People, Process and Technology) and Organisational Culture in Hotels: Which traits matter?”, was published in the International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management.

Dr Rahimi said: “I am delighted that my research into customer relationship management has been recognised in the Emerald Literati Awards.”

Dr Rahimi’s works were described as “some of the most exceptional pieces of work the team has seen throughout 2017”.  

The Emerald Literati Awards celebrate and reward the outstanding contributions of authors and reviewers to scholarly research.
