Uni strikes a deal with Kidderminster Harriers

The University of Wolverhampton has scored a new sponsorship deal with Kidderminster Harriers.

The University will sponsor the under-23s and be featured on team shirts.

The partnership will enable the team to benefit from the University's sports facilities at its Walsall Campus which are currently undergoing a £1 million revamp.

The University's branding will appear as main sponsors of the Kidderminster Harriers Academy, and there will be opportunities to raise awareness of the team's activities among students and staff in the Institute of Human Sciences especially through WLV Sport.

Dr Richard Medcalf, Director of the Institute of Human Sciences, said: "We are delighted to be sponsoring Kidderminster Harriers as part of our commitment to supporting sports teams from our wider region.

"We're looking forward to working together with the Club on sports science activities and in particular we're excited by the opportunities that our partnership with the Kidderminster Harriers Academy might bring."

Adam Crowle, Education Development Officer at Kidderminster Harriers, said: "Our partnership with the University of Wolverhampton enables our Under 23s, who play in the Midland Football League, the chance to play in competitive fixtures, and showcase their talents, as well as the club's.

"Having the support of the University enables the club to run the Under 23s set-up as an elite environment, where players can develop and reach their maximum performance levels on and off the pitch."

For anyone who already has their results, applications can now be made through the Clearing website, calling the HOTLINE on 01902 518585 or contacting us through our Social Media channels on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.  Anyone interested in studying sport should register for the next Open Day on Saturday 12th October 2019.
