The two-year course launched in September and is designed for senior managers with responsibility for the strategic leadership and direction of their organisation or department.

Richard Deakin, General Manager, has 13 years management experience, 10 of which have been at Nant Ltd. He said: “Much of my knowledge and experience has been self-taught. I have had opportunities for training but not with management skills. The Senior Leaders Master’s Degree Apprenticeship allows me to develop my personal skills and knowledge while also developing the business which is expanding rapidly.

“The Apprenticeship route was particularly appealing to me because it allowed me to develop my personal skills and knowledge and dovetail my academic training with running and improving the business. It also allows me to meet like-minded people within my study group and share knowledge and experience.”

Carl Baker, Senior Operations Manager at Nant Ltd, added: “I decided to do the Senior Leaders Master’s Degree Apprenticeship to support my development within a senior management role. It was appealing to me because it goes alongside my day-to-day working life and I can the training while on the job.”

The Degree Apprenticeship is aimed at those working in the private, public and third sectors and for companies of any size.

Mark Price, Director of Apprenticeships (Business) at the University of Wolverhampton, said: “We are delighted to have Carl and Richard from Nant Ltd on board for our Senior Leaders Master’s Degree Apprenticeship. It offers a great opportunity for senior managers and those aspiring to the role to gain valuable new skills, get up to date with current and developing business practices, and network with colleagues in the same situation.”
