My name is Giani Shyam Singh. I am the Sikh Chaplain of the Multi-faith Chaplaincy department here at the University of Wolverhampton.

I wanted to focus the attention of the international students who have come from India here to study towards the email sent by Julie Clarke and Ayo Falana, where they have sent detailed information about help available to you through the University during this hard time of the pandemic such as mental health and wellbeing support team, Multi-faith Chaplaincy team where there is a Sikh Chaplain also available to provide support, hardship fund which has reopened from 10 May to support students.

In order to provide support for students, a Pandemic support fund is being given by the Students’ Union where £50 ASDA vouchers and food parcels are being provided.

Reassurance is given to all students that by receiving the support being provided, there will be NO negative effects on your grades or visa.

All information will be kept confidential.

I request all students to read the email sent to you by Julia and Ayo, and also inform your fellow students so that more students can benefit from the support being given.
