Hundreds of students attend recruitment events

11/12/2013

More than 400 students and graduates packed a series of recruitment events held at the University of Wolverhampton.

The events were held at the University throughout November, with the aim of getting graduates kick-started in careers.

The first of these was the Get Recruited Event organised by The Workplace, attracted a number of top employers including Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Fortel, Smile Education, MSC Industrial Supplies, and Teleperformance, demonstrating the value placed on the skills of Wolverhampton graduates.

Over one thousand jobs were advertised at this event for the University's recent graduates.

Then The Workplace and the Law School organised the Law Careers Fair 2013.

This event attracted high profile employers including: DWF LLP, FBC Manby Bowdler, Citizens Advice Bureau, Lanyon Bowdler, Irwin Mitchell, British Transport Police, Barbri International.

The feedback from employers and students and graduates was very positive and many employers will be looking to fill their vacancies in the next few weeks.

Students and graduates could also access advice from the Careers Clinic where Careers Advisors were on hand offering CVs and application forms advice.

In the New Year, more events are planned, including an Engineering Fair and Employment and Enterprise Fair. For information about upcoming events and the University’s Careers and Employment Services, visit www.wlv.ac.uk/careers
