New law journal launched

17/07/2018

The latest law research is to be showcased in a new journal launched by the University of Wolverhampton.

The new Wolverhampton Law Journal (WLJ) will feature areas such as Criminal law, Insolvency Law, Commercial Law, Property Law, International Law and Comparative Law as well as Criminology and Criminal Justice.

The aim of the new journal is to share research regionally, nationally and internationally and raise the profile of the University of Wolverhampton Law School.

The journal will follow a gold open-access policy, which allows for dissemination of research not only to academics in the UK, but also to the general public across the world.

Head of the University of Wolverhampton Law School, Sukhninder Panesar, said: “We are delighted that the journal has been launched and is one of the key strategic developments for the Law School.  The Journal will raise the profile of the excellent research that is undertaken at the University’s Law School.”

The Editor in Chief is Dr Lezelle Jacobs supported by editors Sukhninder Panesar, Professor Pete Walton, Dr David Cox and Dr Metka Potocnik.

WLJ will be a Bi-annual General Law and Criminal Justice Journal, with articles appearing online and in printed form in May and October each year.

WLJ Editors welcome the submission of manuscripts in English for consideration for publication. Topics under discussion should have relevance to the discipline of Law and/or Criminal Justice and be of interest to academic and/or professional readers.
