Gold medallist to discuss success as a choice

05/06/2018

A double Paralympic gold medallist will discuss why success is a choice at a University of Wolverhampton event.

Danielle Brown MBE will explore the relationship between success and mind-set on Tuesday, 12 June 2018.

The free talk will take place in the Chancellor’s Hall at the Wolverhampton City Campus from 5pm-7pm.

Research Development Manager, Dr Debra Cureton, said: “Coming from a world where one tiny mistake is the difference between winning and failing, Danielle will challenge the way you think and demonstrate how to harness the powers of vision and self-belief to pursue excellence.”

As a Double Paralympic gold medallist Danielle Brown MBE has proven that setbacks do not have to be a barrier to success. Taking up archery on her fifteenth birthday was the first step on a journey that saw her power to Paralympic glory. Danielle spent her entire international career as world number 1, winning gold in two consecutive Paralympic Games and three World Championships. She also accomplished something that very few disabled athletes manage when she transitioned onto the able-bodied team.

Danielle now works as a professional speaker, mentor and coach, using cutting edge research and her experiences to help others strive for excellence, develop skills for success and achieve big goals.
