New venue to host University graduations

Hundreds of students are set to reap the rewards of their hard work when they graduate from the University of Wolverhampton this week.

For the first time, the graduation ceremonies will take place at Grand Station in Sun Street, Wolverhampton.

Around 640 students are to collect their awards at four ceremonies on Tuesday 17th and Wednesday 18th December 2019.

The students are graduating from postgraduate courses as well as Institute of Health courses including nursing.

Vice-Chancellor, Professor Geoff Layer, said: “Congratulations to all the students who will be collecting awards this December. Everyone at the University is incredibly proud of the new graduates who will be celebrating their dedication and hard work at the ceremonies with their families and friends.

“We’re looking forward to hosting our graduation ceremonies in a new venue and look forward to welcoming graduates and their guests to Grand Station.”

Everything for the graduation ceremonies will take place at Grand Station. Students can collect their graduation robes from outside the venue as well as registering and collecting their tickets.

Official photography by Tempest Photography will take place in the Brunel Suite before and after the ceremonies.
