School of Sport kicks-off inclusive seminar series

16/05/2022

The University’s School of Sport is hosting a series of free interactive sessions focusing on inclusivity in sport.

Throughout May, sports experts across the University along with guest speakers from the Commonwealth Games, West Bromwich Albion, and Judo will join together to host a ‘Global Sport and Inclusivity’ seminar series.

Discussions involve sharing experiences of sporting events such as the Winter Olympics in China and the Commonwealth Games.

The evening seminars, which are open to all students, staff, businesses, and the community will focus on inclusivity in the following three key themes:

  • Sport, performance, and health
  • Community
  • Globalisation and sustainability

The sessions will take place in WN002, in the Samuel Johnson Building at the University’s Walsall Campus, online via Teams and Zoom.
