As a designer and musician, I am acutely aware of the impact that the creative industries have on our natural environment. Wind energy is interesting for me because it is essential to human life, something we experience every day and often take for granted.

I chose wind as a theme for this project because where I live in Germany is always extremely windy. The wind is part of my everyday life and memories, so I feel drawn to wind as an elemental force. Wind is invisible, subtle, warm, cold, powerful, and a fundamental part of our ecosystem, which I have attempted to capture in this project. The soundtrack that accompanies the animation has been written, composed and performed in response to the theme of wind.

This investigation is not an exhaustive study of wind as a potential alternative energy but rather as a thought-provoking and informative study, and a personal vehicle for reflecting on wind as a source of creative inspiration.
