NATASSIA SMITH - LAW GRADUATE RAISES THE BAR

13/09/2019

Hard-working Natassia Smith is raising the bar after graduating with a First Class law degree.

Natassia, from Stourbridge, has Multiple Sclerosis and made the most of the opportunities and support available at the University of Wolverhampton.

The 33-year-old has already secured a job working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University.

Natassia combined studying for her LLB (Hons) with working as a Course Rep and Student Ambassador as well as taking part in mooting competitions.

She says: "It's really exciting, it's such a massive achievement and I cannot believe I am finally here. I have had so much fun, I've really enjoyed it.

"While I have been studying, I have had some challenges to overcome. I do suffer from Multiple Sclerosis so that has been quite difficult but I have had so much support from my family and the University. I'm also a parent so I've had to juggle parent life with studying as well."

Natassia's Dad, Kim Smith, adds: "Natassia has done immensely well. The support has been absolutely fantastic and the way she has been able to throw herself into extra-curricular activities such as mooting and the support she has received - I would recommend this University to anybody."

The Graduate Teaching Assistant is available to University of Wolverhampton undergraduates and offers the opportunity to gain employment experience in an academic support role for a fixed period.
