“I’ve loved my time here; the lecturers have been very supportive throughout and I’ve gained lots of valuable experience – both in the classroom and on work placements.

“When I first joined the University, my first concern was that I was a mature student, and I didn’t know how I would be able to succeed against young people. But it soon became clear that it doesn’t matter how old you are, as long as you do your best, take advantage of the opportunities on offer, you will stand the best chance possible in achieving your dreams.”

Marcos is now studying part-time for his Masters, to train as a solicitor and hopes to progress to a PhD to continue his research and make a positive impact to support victims of human trafficking.

The University’s graduation ceremonies take place at the Grand Theatre, Wolverhampton, from Monday 5 September until Saturday 10 September 2022.

Graduates are encouraged to keep in touch with the Alumni team and take advantage of a range of benefits and support on offer to them including a discount for Postgraduate study and opportunities to benefit from mentoring, volunteering and career advice.
