As the temperature drops and you start to seriously think about your December plans, you might want to go to your local Christmas lights switch-on to help you get into the festive spirit, starting your celebrations or gift-buying early. 

Malinslee, Telford

  • Friday 19th November, 3pm–6pm, Malinslee Centre

Join in the community spirit in Malinslee for a celebration for the Christmas lights switch-on, with free rides, inflatables, face painting, crafts, and entertainment.

Wolverhampton city centre

  • Saturday 20th November, 3pm–7pm, Queen Square.

Start your festive mood right with the illuminating of Wolverhampton’s gorgeous Christmas lights. The actual switch-on takes place at 6pm.

Halesowen

  • Saturday 20th November, 11am–5pm, town centre

Head to Halesowen for the town’s Christmas lights switch-on: with street entertainers, market stalls, seasonal refreshments, and live entertainment. Lights on at 5pm.

Stourbridge

  • Saturday 20th November, 11am–5pm, town centre

Head to the high street for a day of celebration and family fun, as well as stalls and entertainment ahead of the town’s official lights switch-on at 5pm.

Wednesfield, Wolverhampton

  • Thursday 25th November, 4pm–7pm, High Street, Wednesfield

Celebrate the start of the festive season on the high street for this special Christmas event hosted by local radio presenter Dicky Dodd. Enjoy fair rides and a charity market before the lights are switched on at 6.30pm.

Roseville, Coseley

  • Friday 26th November, 4pm–6.30pm

If you live in Coseley, why not start the weekend with a bit of festive cheer, and go to the Christmas light switch-on? Street entertainers, market stalls, seasonal refreshments, and live entertainment should help make a festive atmosphere. Lights on at 5pm.

Bilston Town Centre

  • Friday 26th November, 4.30pm–7pm, Church Street

Kick off the Yuletide festivities in Bilson, when the town’s official lights switch on at 6.30pm.

Dudley

  • Saturday 27th November, 12pm–5pm

Join your fellow Dudley folk for the town’s Christmas lights switch-on for fabulous food, Christmas crafts and family entertainment. Lights on at 5pm.

Brierley Hill

  • Saturday 27th November, 11am–5pm

If you live in Brierley Hill, why not brave any wintery weather and go the Christmas light switch-on? There’ll be plenty on offer to get you into the Christmas spirit.

Sedgley, Bull Ring

  • Sunday 28th November, 4pm–7pm

For an evening of local entertainment, join your neighbours in Sedgley after dark to celebrate the town’s Christmas lights switch-on.

Bantock House, Wolverhampton

  • Sunday 28th November, 4.30pm–7pm, Finchfield

Enjoy a traditional Edwardian festive atmosphere at the historic Bantock House. Official lights switch-on at 6.30pm.
