Artsfest 2018

16/05/2018

For the fourth year running, the University of Wolverhampton is staging its major arts festival across Wolverhampton and Walsall.

Artsfest is a collaborative project led by the University’s Faculty of Arts including The Performance Hub, based in Walsall, and the Arena Theatre.  Students and staff work have collaborated with local venues including the Mander Centre, Newhampton Arts Centre and Wolverhampton Art Gallery to stage events covering music, dance, theatre, literature, film, art and design.

Dr John Pymm, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, said: “In the fourth year of Artsfest we’ve joined with cultural venues throughout Wolverhampton and Walsall. As well as celebrating the achievements of the Faculty of Arts’ students, we’ve invited an eclectic range of new artists from across the region and further afield, allowing them a chance to use Artsfest as a platform to enhance their careers.

"As a Faculty, we are proud to bring the very best in arts and entertainment that this region has to offer through Artsfest every year.”

Artsfest will run from 8 - 30 June 2018. Join the Artsfest conversation online by using #WLVArtsfest.
