A Disorder For Everyone - one-day conference
A Disorder for Everyone! - Challenging the Culture of Psychiatric Diagnosis and Exploring Trauma Informed Alternatives' is a one day conference running at the University of Wolverhampton's City Campus on Friday 14 June 2019.
 
The conference is open to students, staff and members of the public - anyone who is interested in the current debates around mental health. It is a chance to discuss the critical questions around the biomedical model in mental health. It will bring together experts from diverse backgrounds who challenge the culture of psychiatric diagnosis and support non-pathologising, trauma-informed alternatives in responding to distress. It includes an introduction to the British Psychological Society Power Threat Meaning Framework.
