Harry skydives for KEMP Hospice

Third year Pharmacy student Harry Tillott has undertaken a tandem skydive to raise funds for KEMP Hospice.

KEMP are based in the heart of the Wyre Forest and offer care and support to patients, families and carers dealing with life limiting illnesses. They go the extra mile to improve quality of life for as long as possible and also continue to support those left behind through offering bereavement support to all over the age of five.

The hospice relies on fundraising to provide 35% of the funding they need each year, so Harry decided to take the plunge - becoming one of the 50 golden jumpers the hospice appealed for at Christmas and before long was too far in to back out!

Harry said: “Words can't do the feelings or skydive itself justice but it was honestly the most breathtaking experience of my life and definitely one crossed off the bucket list; with beautiful views for miles and the thrill of free fall at 120mph I think it is something that everyone should try!

"You try to imagine how it will feel and what the views will be like but nothing compares. Exhilarating! Thank you so much to all who have sponsored me, supporting the cause and helping to make a real difference- we raised £1,000 plus gift aid.

"There is nothing I could ever do to show my true gratitude. For now I can say I am relieved that I am on the ground all in one piece... until the next time!”

You can still support the hospice and help them provide support to patients, carers and relatives - donate at: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/harry-tillott
