The World Health Organization has set up a new five-year strategic plan – the 13th General Programme of Work – to address these and other health challenges. It highlighted ten health threats for global attention in 2019, of which air pollution/climate change and non-communicable diseases (NCD) are the top two.

"After the successful completion of the International Conference of Global Health and Epidemiology (ICGHE) 2018 at Telford Innovation Campus, we will hold the 2nd ICGHE in Wolverhampton to discuss global health issues, particularly in environmental health and NCD. We have invited eminent professors from Australia, China, UK and USA to deliver keynote speeches in the field.

"The conference provides an opportunity for all people in topic-related areas across the world to meet together to discuss key issues, hear from leading scientists, share experiences from different countries and make wide collaboration priorities for new research in global health."
