UPDATE 15/05/2019 - Road closures to affect City Campus

15/05/2019

Staff and students may be affected by roadworks over the next three months on key roads around the University’s City Campus.

This news article has been updated on 15/05/2019 following notification of new dates set by City of Wolverhampton Council.

Over the last year road closures have been in place on Wolves home matchdays as part of new safety measures. These have involved temporary barriers or vehicles.

Now permanent gates or bollards are to be installed.

To enable this, the City Council will be carrying out work in Molineux Street and Jack Hayward Way.

While roads are closed there will be signed diversions in place and full pedestrian access will be maintained.

The main closures will take place as follows:

  • Molineux Street (from Randall Lines/Chaplaincy and the Housman Building to its junction with Camp Street) - 28 May - 5 June 2019.
  • Jack Hayward Way (from its junction with Molineux Street down to the exit to the top Asda car park) - 6 June - 12 June 2019.

There will also be closures at:

  • Whitmore Hill - 20 June - 26 June 2019.
  • Waterloo Road - 25 July - 7 August 2019.

During this period of road closures, the University campus shuttle buses will pick-up and drop-off from Stafford Street ONLY at City Campus and not at Randall Lines.
