University extends partnership with West Bromwich Albion

The University of Wolverhampton is delighted to announce its partnership with West Bromwich Albion football club for the 2022/23 campaign, as the club’s Official Higher Education Partner.

The deal extends the partnership, which first launched in 2013, between the club and the University after several successful years. 
 
The University will work in collaboration with West Bromwich Albion to offer internships, work placement opportunities and student experiences for students across several departments at the club. 

It will also explore potential business development opportunities between the University, the club, and its ownership group and collaborative developments with the University’s School of Sport. 
 
Tim Steele, Pro Vice-Chancellor International and Regional Development at the University said: “We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with West Bromwich Albion. The relationship provides exciting opportunities for our students to gain valuable experience working across different departments at the club and we are incredibly proud to be an official partner.”  

Amanda West, Head of the School of Sport, at the University said: “I’m very proud of our partnership with West Bromwich Albion Football Club.  Our partnership reflects our shared commitment to work together to capitalise on the power of higher education and football, to strengthen and support communities. I look forward to working with the club to make way for exciting and beneficial opportunities for our students.”
