The research cluster for International Business in the Business School focuses on areas such as globalisation and foreign direct investment (FDI), especially in emerging economies.  The cluster is led by Dr Ian Jackson.

Recent research projects in the cluster have included work on knowledge creation and transfer in emerging markets; Effective Trans-National Education (TNE) partnership and students’ sense of belonging; and, food poverty. Cluster team members are also contributing to other projects, such as currently funded work on AI4LABOUR. The cluster has good stakeholder engagement, for example with the Black Country Economic Intelligence Unit.
